Description

A fine antique bed with round posts, spherical knobs, convex square-section top rails, decorative castings and bobbin features in the footboard, and original castors. Dating from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1900 to 1910. This bed has the original golden lacquer and patina which has faded in places, and the brass fittings and knobs have dents and scratches in parts, but these imperfections add to the charm of this beautiful antique.

This bed accepts a double size 4ft 6in wide (54 inch or 135cm) base and mattress.

You will need a bed base to support the mattress. Bed bases sit on the bedstead frame and can be either Firm or Sprung and come in different depths with a choice of covers.
