Some of our mattresses are classified as firm with a very supportive sleeping platform. These were once called orthopaedic mattresses and were recommended for people with back problems. Sometimes a mattress with a supportive underneath but deep comfort layers on top are more suitable for those with joint issues. As always, it is best for us to advise.
