A bespoke hand-crafted four poster bed using original antique decorative front posts. Our skilled craftsmen in our Welsh workshops will reconstruct a four poster bed in the same style as an original antique four bed using a set of stunning genuine antique bed posts shown.
The main photograph and subsequent close-ups show a stunning example of a super king four poster bed that we created in Autumn 2024 for a designer who supplied us with a specific design, and the fabric for the drapes and upholstery. We supplied the designer with everything including a specially made mattress with cut-outs to fit around the front posts.
Likewise, the following photographs show other recent four poster beds we have completed for other designers and clients. The second example was made to support adjustable bed slats for an electric bed.
Please see the additional photographs for the details of the original antique posts we currently have available. The overall height of the finished four poster bed is determined by the height of the front posts, which all vary.
This made-to-order bed can be any size you wish. Here we quote for UK King (60 inches or 150cm wide) and UK Super King (72 inches or 180cm wide).
The upholstered back panel can be arched, straight rectangular, or a bespoke shape, and will be upholstered in a fabric of your choice. The canopy infill can also be covered in a matching fabric. We can also supply drapes if required, with pelmet valances, back and side curtains, similar to the photographs of the previous bed we have completed as shown.
The basic price is for the four poster bed frame in a size of your choice, using a set of posts of your choice, and includes an upholstered headboard and standard flat canopy infill. You will require a bed base to support the mattress. There is a choice of either firm or sprung base depending on your mattress feel, and we can advise.
The fabric for the upholstered headboard and canopy infill is extra and we can supply a full range of fabrics from all suppliers, or you can source yourself.
Any drapes, pelmets, curtains or pleated canopy are extra and we can work with you to finalise the design and source the fabrics required.
The mattress, bedding and bed linen are extra.
